HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR LIFE ?

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR LIFE?

" but why should you be so daft and foolish to the extent that you don't know what you should purchase ? Buying books when there are some other nice things you could buy" , says a guy to his younger brother. "well, my purchase of books is part of the preparations for my future", replied the younger brother to the other guy.  Their father had just given the a sum ₦5000 as pocket money. The elder brother extravagantly spent his on purchasing trending but irrelevant clothes and some other frivolities,  while the younger one prudently  spent his on books, and some other necessary things.

Well, from the above conversation between this two brothers, there is something  important for us to learn. They were, each given the same amount of money, but their use of the money differed as a result of the differences in their priorities.

You see, this is exactly the way our lives are. We were wonderfully created by God, and he has given everyone of us beautiful lives. However, our success in life, and the fulfillment of our destinies is indispensably dependent on the use of these lives of ours.

One thing I like to inculcate into our consciousness is that, our origins, personalities, location, background, are not determining factors for our success in life. What we all do with our lives is what makes the difference.

The way you spend your life matters a lot to the fulfillment of your God-given destiny. There is a purpose for which you are on this earth.

"if you were not needed, you would not be created" — Olakunle Paul

Your existence is for an essence. Discovering it and fulfilling is what makes your life meaningful and significant.

When you know your purpose, it will spark a vision in your heart. This vision is what your life is to be spent on.

"A life that is devoid of vision without never be free from life's frustrations" — Olakunle Paul.

Many people who fail in life are those who probably never discover their purpose in life and have a vision for their lives. They are those who have nothing to live for.

"if you have nothing to live for, then you are not worth living", observed a wise man.

Your life is meant to be carefully guided by God's vision. Many people are into so many irrelevant things today because of ignorant of vision.

Scriptures says, "my people perish for lack of KNOWLEDGE".  Ignorance of God's purpose for one's life is one of the fundamental reasons for failure in life.

The scriptures also says, "when there is no vision, the people perish"

When you don't have vision for your life, you will only be drifting passively along with life, never really achieving anything significant. You will merely be living by the circumstances and demands of life rather than actively taking responsibility for your life.

How you spend your life depends on the vision you have. Ask yourself what you have been doing with your life since you were born. What are the things you spend your time and resources on? Many waste their time and indirectly waste their lives instead of channeling it into things that can benefit their lives and develop their destinies.

How you spend your life really matters a lot.

Now, you know who is foolish between the two brothers. They were both given the same amount of money, but they put it into different use. Their use of the money was based on the vision they each had. One had a clear  vision of his great future, and he channelled the money into it, while the other had no vision for his life making him to squander the money on frivolities.

Take time to sit down and think about your life and your future. Let the various decisions you make be based on your God-given vision.

Don't just make friends or go into any relationship anyhow. If it is of no meaningful benefit to your vision, desist from it.

Spend your life for God, live in righteousness and holiness, and commit yourself to your life's vision and purpose. Then and only then can you fulfill your destiny and leave a meaningful life.

God bless you
